About the Role:
 
It's a busy hospital with a team of 7 vets and a fab support team of 7 Vet Nurses, 8 Veterinary Care Assistants and a wonderful reception team.  The hospital looks great having just had its front of house and consult rooms refurbished and also boasts a new ultrasound machine, endoscopy and new digital Xray. New kennels due in 2019.  Caseload is varied- see more in a year than you will in a career!
 
We are now seeking a Veterinary Surgeon (VS), the role is responsible for the delivery of an efficient, professional and caring service to PDSA clients, providing a high standard of customer service and clinical care whilst also promoting pet wellbeing and delivering preventive services.

Vets typically work 1 in 7 weekends, 8.30am - 5.30 Saturday and 8.30-6pm Sunday.  They get extra pay for this plus 18 hours lieu time the following week (normally Monday and Friday off and a half day Thursday)
 
About You:
 
The successful candidate will be an RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon and responsible for updating their knowledge by attending regular CPD training. You will be involved in all aspects of clinical governance at the Pet Hospital, responsible for managing cases cost-effectively, encouraging financial contributions from clients, and making sure that PDSA resources are used appropriately.

Sponsorship is subject to meeting all the criteria for the issue of a Certificate of Sponsorship, including being eligible to register as a Veterinary Surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.
